SKUWise

What it does

SKUWise is a Shopify App Store application that calculates true net profit per SKU per day for Shopify merchants. It combines Shopify order data with ad spend from Meta and Google to produce a complete per-SKU profit-and-loss view, after subtracting cost of goods, ad spend, transaction fees, shipping, and refunds.

The product is targeted at direct-to-consumer Shopify merchants spending $5k+/month on paid acquisition who currently rely on blended ROAS reporting and don't know which SKUs are actually profitable after ad costs.

Google Ads API (read-only)

SKUWise uses the Google Ads API to read campaign-level ad spend and performance metrics for the merchant's connected Google Ads account. This data is joined to Shopify order data via UTM parameters and used to allocate ad spend to individual SKUs.

Specifically, SKUWise reads:

• Campaign and ad group metadata (name, status, type)
• Daily spend, impressions, clicks, conversions per campaign and ad group
• UTM-tagged final URLs for click attribution to Shopify orders

SKUWise does not create, edit, pause, or delete campaigns. It does not modify any data in the merchant's Google Ads account. Access is via standard OAuth 2.0 with the merchant's explicit consent. The merchant can revoke access at any time.

Expected call volume per merchant: under 100 API operations per day (one daily backfill plus incremental syncs every 4 hours). Targeting Basic Access tier (15,000 ops/day).

Meta Marketing API (read-only)

SKUWise uses the Meta Marketing API to read ad-level spend and performance for the merchant's connected Meta ad account, with the same allocation approach used for Google Ads. Read-only access via System User token. SKUWise does not create or modify ad campaigns.

Shopify Admin API

Standard Shopify embedded app. Uses the GraphQL Admin API to read orders, line items, products, variants, inventory item cost, transactions, refunds, and shipping data. Installed via the Shopify App Store with merchant consent.

Launching Q3 2026

Currently in private beta with a small group of Shopify merchants. Public launch on the Shopify App Store is planned for Q3 2026. Pricing tiers: $39 / $79 / $149 per month, billed through the Shopify Billing API, with a 14-day free trial.
